Account Manager

A growing Japanese manufacturer is currently recruiting an Account Manager for its semiconductor-related products in the European region.
This is a technically oriented sales role that supports clients on-site and involves managing related development projects.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience, technical sales or engineering knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and Business level of fluency in English (C1) and conversational Japanese (B1-B2).

Main Responsibilities

• Manage accounts for semiconductor test equipment products and related development projects in Europe
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
• Conduct technical presentations, prepare reports and proposals in English and Japanese
• Attend technical meetings, quarterly business reviews, RFQ discussions, and failure analysis sessions
• Provide forecasting, reporting, and sales progress updates
• Support problem-solving and coordinate actions across multiple stakeholders
• Participate in European client visits and occasional trips to Japan or other Asian locations

Ideal Candidate

• University degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of customer-facing experience in semiconductor, electronics, or related technical industries
• Experience managing technical projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Intercultural communication skills and ability to work in multinational teams
• Logical thinker with proactive problem-solving approach
• Strong technical sales and forecasting skills, cheerful and communicative
• Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally to Asia
• Valid driver’s license
• Business level of fluency in English and conversational Japanese
