Supply Chain Manager – Production Planning & Procurement (m/f/d)

A Japanese car-chemical manufacturer is seeking a Supply Chain Manager – Production Planning & Procurement (m/f/d) at their production site. Their German entity has both a production site and a business site, and there are over 50 employees. Their main business is the manufacture of chemical products, lubricants, engine oils, etc. In particular, many of their products are for the automotive industry, and their main product in Europe is Engine coolant. Their production site is located in the south of Düsseldorf, and commuting is easily achieved by car, but public transport is also available.

Job Responsibilities

• Production Planning: Support and optimize production scheduling to meet demand and resource utilization.
• Procurement & Purchasing: Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and materials.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage the flow of Raw Materials to ensure efficient delivery and minimize lead times.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring alignment with production schedules and company objectives.
• ERP Project Leadership: Lead and implement projects for production planning using ERP systems, driving operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for optimization within supply chain processes.

Job Requirements

• Business-level proficiency in English and German is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in supply chain/operations management, including production planning, procurement, purchasing, and logistics in a manufacturing environment.
