Politics can be difficult to follow sometimes, and elections can be downright confusing. So, if you’re finding Germany’s upcoming election - which takes place at the end of this month - a little bit hard to follow, check out this video for a simple, succinct explanation of parliament, elections and voting in the federal republic.

Germany is gearing up for one of its most important and high-profile elections in history. After 16 years, Angela Merkel will step down from her position as Chancellor and, once again, Germany’s political parties will vie for power in the Bundestag. While it’s easy to get swept away in “election fever,” it can also be hard to keep up with all that’s going on.
