Aldi to sell ice cream at 50 cents a scoop outside shops
The German supermarket chain Aldi (both Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd) has announced that it will sell ice cream at just 50 cents per scoop outside select stores during early July.
The company is sending its ice cream stands on tour, with proceeds going to an as-yet-unspecified “good cause”. Aldi also hasn’t revealed which flavours will be on sale at the stands, but with the average cost of a scoop of ice cream in Germany coming in at 1,80 euros, the Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis of an Aldi scoop surely can’t leave a bitter taste.
Where in Germany can I find an Aldi ice cream stand in July?
Outside the following Aldi branches, on the following days, customers will be able to buy an ice cream (in a cone or in a pot) between 2pm and 6pm:
- July 2: Essen, Korthover Weg 57–59
- July 3: Düsseldorf, Ahnfeldstraße 8–10
- July 8: Hamburg, Langenhorner Chaussee 579
- July 8: Munich, Frankfurter Ring 19
- July 10: Leipzig, Braustraße 26
- July 10: Mainz, Bürgermeister-Alexander-Straße 9
Guten Appetit!
