A German couple has broken the world record for the number of decorated Christmas trees in one house. Thomas Jeromin is a self-professed Christmas nut.
Christmas spirit, at all costs
A couple in Lower Saxony has set a new world record for the number of decorated Christmas trees in one house: 621. “I start on June 1 and need six months until everything is the way it is,” Thomas Jeromin told the dpa.
Jeromin and his partner have held the world record in question for seven years, but beat their own personal best in 2025. Their home is only 180 square metres, but its 621 Christmas trees display a total of 125.000 baubles and 50.000 Christmas lights.
Christmas tree obsession started in 2011
Before, Jeromin says, “As soon as you left the living room, Christmas was over and I didn’t want that. It’s a big house so I thought to myself, “Why don’t I put a tree here, why don’t I put a tree there?"”.
By 2011, Jeromin had succumbed to his festive desires and managed to fit 20 trees in the house. Before he knew it, there were 621 of them. “I’m definitely off my rocker for Christmas,” Jeromin admitted. “But it also doesn’t hurt”.
