BUILD IT

As the Regional ESG Lead Germany, you'll ensure our commitment to sustainability is embedded at the regional level and aligned with the global corporate ambitions of SAP, developing and adapting ESG strategies to regional requirements. This strategic role focuses on the initiation, management and control of regional/local ESG projects, risk assessment and leveraging regional ESG opportunities.

• Adapt global governance and compliance frameworks to regional requirements.
• Initiate and manage regional ESG projects, including vendor selection.
• Alignment with internal stakeholders, fostering a sustainable transformation across the region of Germany and particularly the SAP Headquarters and its related global functions.
• Governance and support of regional execution and operationalization to ensure compliance with ESG standards and targets.
• Assess and respond to regional ESG risks and opportunities, providing strategic insights for an optimized ESG pathway forward.

BRING IT

The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate degree, have a detailed understanding of ESG principles, and demonstrate leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to translate global strategies into regional execution plans.

• Degree in Real Estate, Environment Science, Electrical Engineering, Finance or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of ESG principles and processes, preferably at a regional or global level.
• Proven ability to translate global strategy into regional execution plans.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and team management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Persuasive capabilities on management level.
• At least 5 years' experience in an ESG-focused role, with preference for regional or global experience.
