Senior Product Designer - UI focus - Propositions (all genders) - parental leave cover

Role: The Proposition Teams build remarkable experiences for specific Zalando assortments (Sports, Beauty, Kids, Recommerce, Designer). As a Senior Product Designer you will improve customer experience across multiple propositions, collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, Product Analysts, Commercial teams and fellow Designers. The role is a parental‑leave cover, 12‑month contract, based in Berlin. Responsibilities: - Drive improvement of multiple propositions’ experiences through customer‑centred design and data‑backed decisions. - Design and deliver innovative customer experiences that contribute to multi‑proposition adoption. - Apply research practices to understand customer needs and assess design solutions. - Maintain a collaborative design approach across disciplines, working with Engineering, Product Management and other stakeholders. - Effectively manage own work and influence senior stakeholders, communicating design direction clearly. - Contribute to inclusive design principles, considering diverse needs, especially for Sports, Kids and Beauty customers. Qualifications: - Strong visual craft and UX skills; experienced with mature design systems and accessibility. - Good understanding of UX copywriting best practices. - Ability to tackle ambiguous problems through end‑to‑end customer journeys. - Experience leading user research and integrating business perspectives. - Proven cross‑discipline collaboration and stakeholder management. - Excellent verbal and written communication; confident presenting to large audiences and facilitating workshops. - Interest in AI‑backed customer experience design and partnering with data‑science teams.
