Role Principal Software Engineer – Risk Management / Risk AI. Lead and guide multiple teams within the Risk Management department, developing software and machine‑learning solutions to detect and mitigate payment fraud. Responsibilities - Design and drive technical solutions for high‑impact, ambiguous projects across several teams. - Break down complex solutions into iterative releases, reducing risk and complexity. - Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute code. - Evangelize best software practices and drive technical innovation. - Improve operational excellence through review meetings, post‑mortems, and incident investigations. - Partner with tech and product leadership on technical and product decisions. - Research and propose productivity‑enhancing solutions. Qualifications - 3+ years experience as a Principal Engineer, Solutions Architect or Staff Engineer. - Strong background in software architecture and cloud‑based design, leading large‑scale projects. - Experience with Machine Learning productionisation and MLOps. - Proven leadership and communication skills for mentoring and guiding teams. - Hands‑on mindset with ability to delegate effectively.
