Welcome to Dresden

Bosch is building its chip factory of the future in Dresden — in the heart of Silicon Saxony.
This new high-tech plant will be the first of its kind; a 5G-ready digital building with specialized equipment for power and mixed signal. In order to satisfy the demand generated by the growing number of internet of things (IoT) and mobility applications, the new RB300 Wafer Fab will manufacture chips on 300 mm wafers. Sales of the first chips will commence in mid-2022. Bosch is creating up to 700 jobs within this key enabling sector.
