Remote Job

Are you a Physics Engineer with experience delivering R&D-focused government contracts? Do you thrive on complex problem-solving, working at the intersection of physics, engineering, and innovation?

A specialist consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Physics Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects within the public sector. This role is ideal for someone who has worked on government-funded scientific programmes and has a track record of delivering high-impact experimental or applied research.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔ Leading and contributing to R&D initiatives in physics and engineering fields
✔ Collaborating with government and industry partners on innovative scientific projects
✔ Designing, testing, and optimising experimental systems or prototypes
✔ Conducting technical feasibility studies and supporting policy-driven research
✔ Translating complex scientific concepts into practical engineering solutions

What You’ll Need:

✔ Proven experience working on government-funded R&D contracts
✔ Expertise in experimental physics, materials science, or applied research
✔ Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within the public sector
✔ Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects with engineers and scientists

 

  • Fully remote but only considering candidates based in the UK
  • Inside IR35
  • Day rate: £400 - £600 per day
