We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production. This role provides finance leadership for a growing operation, covering forecasting, inventory, costing, controls and compliance, and reporting. It partners closely with operations and supply chain teams to support decision-making, while driving financial analysis, month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and standard costing.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to provide financial insights and decision support
- Contribute to ad hoc projects related to start-up activities, process improvements, and business growth
- Provide general ledger and financial reporting support for operations
- Support direct inventory processes, including transaction analysis, issue resolution, and inventory controls
- Support internal and external audits through analysis, documentation, and reporting
- Provide standard cost analysis and support costing accuracy for operations
- Analyze and verify manual invoicing, supplier charges, and other operational finance transactions
What You Have (Key Skills/Experience Required):
- Strong focus on delivering highly accurate outputs and maintaining rigorous quality standards in complex, detail-heavy environments
- Ability to process large volumes of information, identify discrepancies, and derive meaningful insights
- Structured mindset to break down challenges, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions
- Confidence in assessing risks, weighing alternatives, and making well-informed decisions
- Proven track record of process enhancement, standards development, cross-functional teamwork, and constructive feedback exchange
- Clear and effective communication, adapting messaging to different audiences
- Proficiency in English and an intermediate level of German (both spoken and written)
