Jr. Manager ZPS Banking Ops (all genders)

Role: - Fixed‑term contract (2 years) as Junior Manager in ZPS Banking Operations. - Part of the ZPS Banking Operations team responsible for operational payment transaction processes for all payment methods offered by Zalando Payments. - Deliver a flawless checkout experience, process and reconcile customer payments, and boost conversion through smart risk steering. - Control and reconcile payment settlement processes within financial accounting systems, optimise operational processes, interface with Payment Service Providers and Delivery Partners, and support projects aligned with Zalando Payments’ strategy. - Collaborate closely with Finance, Technology, Product and Customer Operations teams. Responsibilities: - Deliver high‑quality financial operational processes following defined procedures. - Resolve operational issues and seek guidance for complex or high‑impact topics. - Detect problems and proactively propose solutions in consultation with the lead. - Ensure quality standards in the area of responsibility. - Take ownership of tasks and follow‑up. Qualifications: - Execute finance transactions autonomously, accurately and timely. - Seek guidance for non‑standard transactions and contribute ideas based on data and knowledge. - Service‑oriented mindset with a customer‑centric approach. - Participate in finance processes, report activities and contribute to financial statements, data accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
