The Principal Product Analyst will drive strategy, evaluation, and optimization of digital products, defining how user interactions are valued, measuring success, and linking product features to business outcomes. Responsibilities: - Implement and evolve a standardized cross‑organizational product performance measurement framework, establishing consistent core KPIs (e.g., Weekly Active Users, Conversion Rate, Overall Evaluation Criterion). - Own technical architecture and attribution models for user value scoring, building complex data structures for upper‑funnel engagement and lower‑funnel transactional behaviors. - Advance the content flywheel into a measurable insight engine to demonstrate long‑term financial and visit frequency value. - Lead engineering of advanced data solutions and analytics pipelines, including session‑level tracking, identity stitching, and methods to mitigate the “Winner’s Curse” in experiments. - Design, align, and analyze high‑stakes experimentation (A/B tests, quasi‑experiments) to drive sustainable growth. - Democratize insights and act as strategic advisor to senior leadership, product managers, and applied scientists. Qualifications: - 7+ years of product analytics experience, preferably in large‑scale e‑commerce or product‑led environments. - Strong analytical and technical background with high proficiency in SQL and deep experience using Python or R for advanced analytics and scalable data pipelines. - Expertise in A/B testing frameworks, user behavior analytics, experiment design, and complex attribution or scoring systems. - Ability to map upper‑funnel engagement metrics to lower‑funnel transactional performance. - Hands‑on experience with advanced causal inference methodologies (e.g., Propensity Score Matching, Difference‑in‑Differences, Synthetic Controls). - Proven leadership in ambiguous environments, influencing senior executives. - Excellent storytelling with data, communicating complex technical frameworks into actionable recommendations. - Experience with modern data visualization and analytics tools. What We Offer: - 27 days of holiday per year (increasing up to 30 days). - 2 paid volunteering days annually. - Employee shares programme. - 40% discount on Zalando fashion and beauty products, 30% discount on Lounge by Zalando, and external partner discounts. - Relocation assistance (subject to agreement). - Family services, health and wellbeing options, mental health support and coaching. - Opportunities for development through training platforms and biannual peer‑to‑peer reviews.
