Developer (f/m/d) for BTP Metering and Reporting

What you'll build

Ready to shape the infrastructure that powers SAP's cloud commerce? As a Developer on the BTP Metering & Reporting team, part of SAP's Commercial Foundation Services, you'll build the cloud-native services that track and report how SAP products are used by customers worldwide – feeding directly into billing, compliance, and consumption-based business models. Your work will be embedded at the core of the SAP Business Technology Platform and will be relied upon by dozens of product teams across SAP and its partners. You'll design and implement backend services and REST APIs in Java and Go, work with cloud infrastructure on Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes, and integrate with SAP billing and compliance systems. You'll own features from the first line of code through to production, working within an Agile team that values quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you bring

• 3+ years of backend development experience in Java, with solid knowledge of Spring (MVC / Boot) and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases – you're comfortable with data modelling, schema design, and writing efficient queries.
• A cloud and automation mindset: you've worked with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry).
• Strong engineering fundamentals – clean code, SOLID principles, and a genuine commitment to test coverage.
• A collaborative, results-driven approach: you communicate clearly, take ownership of your work, and help teammates when they're stuck.
• Experience with Go, or eagerness to pick it up quickly – it's part of our stack.
