About this role

Software-Design and Development

We help the world run better. At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll do

Launch your development journey with us!

SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) enables companies to manage the entire lifecycle of a product—from conception and design to production, operation, and disposal. It integrates product data, processes, and collaboration tools to improve efficiency, innovation, compliance, and time-to-market.

Our PLM System Integration team develops an integrated end-to-end solution, combining the best of external PLM systems and the SAP PLM portfolio. We embrace the Harmonized Product Ownership Model (HPOM), encouraging end-to-end responsibility, customer focus, and continuous learning.

We are looking for you! While coding will be your core task, developing software at SAP means much more: it’s about collaboration, designing solutions for real customer needs, and delivering high-quality outcomes—while having fun doing it.

As a Developer (Associate) (f/m/d) you will:

  • Work with a great international team of professionals
  • Execute software development: concept, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, and maintenance
  • Resolve issues and support our customers
  • Discuss business requirements and drive topics to resolution
  • Think independently and apply your problem-solving skills
  • Work with ABAP, REST APIs, Cucumber, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Gain hands-on experience with Agile developments and work in a HPOM set up.

This role comes with a clear growth perspective—technically and functionally—with deep exposure to ABAP and business logic in a strategic SAP PLM solution.

What you bring

  • Degree in computer science/software engineering or equivalent, ideally with experience in coding using ABAP, Python, Java, or C++. Experience in REST APIs, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Strong team player with a sense of ownership and an eye for detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Goal-oriented, with strong communication skills; fluent in spoken and written English and German
  • Scrum Master experience could be an added advantage.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn within an agile, HPOM-driven team environment

Meet your team

Join a cross‑functional team at the core of SAP PLM. We solve real business challenges, drive innovation, and shape the future of PLM System Integration—all while working with HPOM principles that foster ownership, customer focus, and outcome‑driven delivery.
