What you’ll do:

Summary: SAP LeanIX is the market leader in enterprise architecture recognized by Gartner 5 years in a row (and counting) and with high praise by our customers. We got there by using the latest and greatest processes, tools, being innovative and a very strong focus on our customers. We want to continue with that in the AI era.

We are looking for a Development Expert colleague. You will play a critical role in developing an AI‑first mindset within the Product & Engineering departments at SAP LeanIX and push the boundaries of our understanding and usage of the latest technology. The role includes the following responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a small fast moving team to stay on top of latest advancements in AI
• Work on discovery projects to learn and apply latest AI advancements to our product
• Help teams integrate solutions from discovery into real features in production
• Lead the evolution of our AI architecture and supporting technology
• Build new internal tools to help the company leverage GenAI better
• Validate new approaches and spread learnings through all teams at LeanIX

What you bring:

• Staff level software engineering experience and can build end‑to‑end solutions from prototype to production
• Used to working and communicating across multiple teams and across the engineering org
• Understanding of machine learning concepts behind Generative AI
• You are interested in latest developments in the field of Generative AI, and have used it in business scenarios or at least internal experiments
• You are customer oriented, wants to understand and build the right thing for the customers
• Proactive, hands‑on, curious and eager to learn
• Experience building evaluation pipelines for AI and managing experiments
• Expertise in prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and AI Agents
• Hands‑on experience with building, extending and improving Generative AI systems
• Shared knowledge broadly or mentored people/teams within your previous company
