SAP Migration PMO & Data Specialist (m/f/d)

As an SAP Migration PMO & Data Specialist, you will support a critical ERP migration project from SAP Business One to a group-wide SAP system. This role combines hands-on data work with project coordination, ensuring smooth communication between business units and the central SAP team.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders across functions and regions to support data migration, system testing, and overall project execution.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. PMO & Project Coordination
- Support project coordination between business units, European SAP teams, and headquarters
- Assist in tracking project progress, timelines, and key deliverables
- Facilitate communication across departments and proactively follow up on pending tasks
- Support internal alignment to ensure readiness for each project phase (requirements, testing, go-live)
2. Data Migration & Cleansing
- Extract, review, and validate large volumes of SAP master data (e.g., supplier and product data)
- Identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete data entries (e.g., missing contact information)
- Communicate with relevant departments to collect and validate required data
- Perform hands-on data cleansing to ensure high-quality data for migration
3. SAP System Support
- Access and analyze data within SAP systems to support migration and validation activities
- Assist with testing preparation and execution (especially during the September testing phase)
- Support operational processes such as sales order-related activities where required
4. Compliance & Business Process Support
- Ensure migrated data aligns with regulatory requirements, particularly in regulated industries
- Coordinate with internal experts when specialized knowledge is required
- Support business units in adapting processes to the new SAP environment
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Actively communicate with internal departments to resolve data gaps and delays
- Take initiative to follow up directly with stakeholders when responses are needed
- Support smooth collaboration across multiple teams in a fast-paced project environment
Must-Have Requirements
- Experience working with SAP systems (SD knowledge preferred)
- Hands-on experience in data handling, validation, or data cleansing
- Basic knowledge of accounting or business processes
- Business-level English proficiency
- Strong communication skills and proactive working style
- Ability to work independently and drive tasks forward
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ERP implementation or SAP migration projects
- Knowledge of SAP SD module (preferred over FI/CO)
- Business-level German proficiency (nice to have)
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., chemicals, life sciences)
- Ability to work in an international and cross-functional environment
