What you’ll build

SAP’s Global Procurement Organization is looking for an encouraged working student to support the Category IT & Cloud Team with a strong focus on process management and optimization.

Process Design & Optimization

  • Analysis and documentation of existing procurement and supplier management processes
  • Identification of improvement opportunities and definition of target process landscapes
  • Design of scalable, efficient end-to-end processes (e.g., P2P, supplier lifecycle)

Stakeholder Alignment & Collaboration

  • Close collaboration with local, regional, and global stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Alignment of processes across functions to ensure business needs are met
  • Act as an interface between business teams and operational execution

Process Implementation & Adherence

  • Support the implementation of designed processes in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensure adoption through clear documentation, communication, and guidance
  • Contribute to process governance, standardization, and continuous improvement

Operational & Project Support

  • Supplier Registration, Evaluation & Classification
  • Global Strategic / Preferred Supplier List
  • Need to interact with local, regional or global counterparts (internal and external), up to mid-level (internally), to achieve successful results

Additional areas of responsibility may be identified over time depending on the candidate’s strengths and interests. The key for the successful candidate is being eager to learn, with a strong interest in procurement processes and a high affinity for structured and process-oriented work.

What you bring

  • Student at a university or a university of applied sciences with preferred fields of study: Business Informatics, Business Administration, or related disciplines
  • Strong interest in process management, process improvement, and procurement operations
  • Ability & willingness to learn and work in an international environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and structured way of thinking with high quality awareness
  • Highly motivated, high service attitude, result-driven, proactive team player, ability to work independently and flexibly
  • Self-driven & goal-oriented mindset

Requirements

  • Basic project and/or process management skills (e.g., documentation, workshops, alignment)
  • Understanding of procurement processes (P2P, supplier lifecycle) is a plus
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Identify business-related improvement opportunities
  • Good time management
  • Continuous improvement of process knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work in international teams and a virtual environment
  • Familiarity with tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SAP) is beneficial
  • Very good written and spoken English / German. Any other language is a plus
