Working student Standard Security SW-Testing
About this role
The automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation. In particular, digitalization and the software-defined vehicle are driving this change, resulting in new challenges and the necessary measures to address them. The “CarIT Security Rollout” team is responsible for integrating CarIT security features into the base layer software and for testing electronic control units. Regular execution of software tests, analysis of test reports, and root cause analysis are core responsibilities of our team and help ensure the software quality of our products.

As a student with a structured, quality-oriented mindset and strong digital affinity, you will support the varied and exciting day-to-day activities of the “CarIT Security Rollout” team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting test preparation in our test lab
- Maintaining and structuring test documentation
- Executing tests, including defect logging and defect documentation
- Reviewing test reports, including recording and documenting relevant deviations
- Analyzing test results, including root cause analysis
- Communicating and coordinating within the team
- Maintaining test documentation in Jira, Confluence, or comparable tools
The activity can begin from August 2026.
Requirements:
- Degree program in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field of study
- Proficiency in written and spoken German and English
- Basic knowledge of SW Development (C, C++, Python)
- Basic understanding of software and system testing
- Basic technical understanding of vehicle networking and embedded systems
- Experience working with GitHub as well as Jira
- Experience with AUTOSAR and DaVinci Configurator is a plus
