A European trading company specializing in raw materials for inks, adhesives, and coatings is seeking to strengthen their market position by expanding beyond raw material sales to include finished inks and bundled solutions. To achieve this, they are looking for an experienced chemical industry consultant with deep technical expertise and strong industry connections.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on strategies to expand from raw materials to finished inks and complementary product bundles.
- Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities.
- Support business development through industry networking and introductions.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, including REACH/ECHA requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize product portfolio and technical offerings.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of polymers, monomers, and their applications.
- R&D experience in inks, coatings, adhesives, or related chemical products.
- Previous roles in major chemical companies.
- Experience as an Application Engineer or in Research & Development.
- Established connections within the chemical industry and regulatory bodies (ECHA).
- Proven track record as an independent consultant or freelancer in the chemical sector.
- Senior-level professional with a strong chemical background.
- Self-employed consultant with flexibility to work on a project basis.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise and business acumen.
