Principal Product Manager Marketing Automation - Lounge by Zalando (all genders)

Role: Principal Product Manager (Marketing Automation) for Lounge by Zalando. Lead the growth & lifecycle platform, owning the marketing‑technology product that powers campaign and data hubs, lifecycle messaging, AI‑driven marketing, and privacy infrastructure. Responsibilities: - Define and execute the product strategy for the growth platform (data hubs, messaging infrastructure, automation services). - Deliver an autonomous marketing engine with AI agents for paid, SEO and CRM campaigns. - Build a zero‑touch operational backbone to automate campaign quality assurance. - Represent product in architecture discussions with Principal Engineers and translate technical trade‑offs for commercial leadership. - Ensure GDPR‑compliant personalization and messaging. - Produce product artifacts, mentor product managers and raise the technical fluency of the team. Qualifications: - Deep hands‑on experience with modern marketing technology (ESP/CRM platforms such as Braze, customer data platforms, product feeds, campaign automation, server‑side tracking). - Proven track record managing marketing or data platforms as products. - Strong technical fluency to engage in architecture discussions without being an engineer. - Experience shipping AI/ML‑powered products (LLM, personalization, autonomous agents). - Demonstrated experimentation rigor (A/B testing, incrementality measurement, KPI‑driven prioritisation). - Excellent bilingual communication, able to translate technical details for executive audiences. - Ability to produce high‑quality written artifacts (strategies, PRFAQs, solution designs). - Experience scaling high‑volume consumer products serving millions of users across multiple channels and countries.
