Working Student (m/w/d) – gH2 Service
About this role
Overview
As a Working Student in the global gH2 Service organization, you will provide hands-on support across all service functions, including Service Strategy, Product Development, Training, Customer Support, and Spare Parts & Catalogue Management. You will contribute directly to day-to-day operations, helping our teams deliver high-quality service for cutting-edge green hydrogen technologies.
This role is primarily designed as a support position. You will not be expected to own full workstreams; however, depending on your drive and motivation, you may take on increasing responsibility for selected tasks and topics. Throughout your work, you will be closely supported by experienced team members who provide guidance, feedback, and sparring. You will actively support them through structured analysis, preparation work, documentation, research, and coordination tasks.
We are looking for students of Industrial Engineering or similar technicalcommercial fields, ideally in the final phase of their Bachelor’s program or already in their Master’s.
About gH2 Service
The global gH2 Service organization ensures reliable, scalable, and customer-oriented service solutions for hydrogen electrolyzer systems. Our work spans strategic planning, service product development, training of internal and external stakeholders, technical customer support, and global spare parts processes. As part of this team, you will gain broad insights into how a global service organization operates in a rapidly growing and future-oriented industry.
Your Responsibilities
1. Analysis & Research
- Support market and competitor analyses for service strategy and product development.
- Conduct technical research (e.g., PFD/P&ID reviews, technology trends, industry standards).
- Prepare structured summaries and briefings.
2. Documentation & Content Preparation
- Support creation and maintenance of service documentation, templates, presentations, and governance materials.
- Help compile and update training materials (manuals, slides, e-learnings).
- Prepare meeting notes, lesson-learned summaries, and structured reports.
3. Data Handling & Preparation
- Analyze and prepare data for Customer Support, Spare Parts, and Product Development topics.
- Support the upkeep of product catalogues, sales offers, and order records to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
- Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and clean documentation.
4. Coordination & Project Support
- Assist in scheduling, follow-ups, and project documentation (status updates, action tracking, timelines).
- Coordinate small tasks with internal stakeholders.
- Help prepare materials for workshops, customer meetings, and internal reviews.
5. General Support Activities
- Support creation of business cases, pricing overviews, product descriptions.
- Prepare presentations for management and cross-functional teams.
- Help structure and organize information across global service functions.
Your profile
- Enrolment in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration with technical focus, or similar.
- Ideally in the final Bachelor semester or enrolled in a Master’s program.
- Strong analytical and structured working style.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Comfortable communicating with multiple interfaces.
- Solid MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); SAP/MSD experience is a plus.
- Very good English skills; German is an advantage.
- Interest in renewable energy, hydrogen technologies, and modern industrial service organizations.
