Junior Category Manager Modern (all genders) - Lounge by Zalando

Role As a Junior Category Manager in the Modern Budget Category, you will be part of a high‑performing team creating innovative ways to connect people and fashion in the Offprice segment. You are responsible for branded buying and will work closely with buying and planning teams. Responsibilities - Own your portfolio: source new brands, negotiate terms, shape the assortment and monitor existing brands. - Drive growth: build strong relationships with key suppliers. - Embrace trend analysis: research market trends and propose innovative ideas for the assortment. - Contribute to strategic development: collaborate with the Category Lead on budgets and assortment strategy, analyse performance and provide data‑driven insights. - Engage in team collaboration: manage stakeholder relationships and maintain close communication with external partners and internal teams (Logistics, Content, Fashion Store) to ensure alignment and drive sales. Qualifications - 1–2 years of buying experience in the fashion industry. - Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and formulas. - Excellent negotiation and communication abilities with suppliers and stakeholders. - Proactive, quick‑thinking attitude; able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent written and spoken English; German, Italian or French is a plus.
