What you´ll build

As a working student (f/m/d) in the Data Protection team, you will help shape and operate our next generation of AI-enabled de-identification services, supporting the secure handling of personally identifiable information in line with DPP regulations.

This includes:

• Contributing to the provisioning of cloud-based services that use AI capabilities to identify, classify, and remove PII from structured and unstructured data
• Supporting the operation and continuous improvement of these services, with a focus on security, scalability, performance, reliability, and responsible AI governance
• Helping explore and implement AI agents and automation patterns that improve data protection workflows, reduce manual effort, and enable more intelligent remediation and monitoring
• Collaborating in a scrum team embedded in a large-scale agile setup, working closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to turn our AI and data protection strategy into practical, compliant solutions

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Computer Science or related fields
• Computer skills: Python, Cloud Development, Databricks knowledge is a plus
• Strong interest in agentic AI, automation, data protection, and privacy-enhancing technologies
• Good programming skills, especially in Python; experience with cloud development is highly beneficial
• Knowledge of Databricks is a plus
• Curiosity to explore how LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent automation can support the identification, classification, and de-identification of sensitive data
• Structured, collaborative working style and willingness to contribute in an agile scrum team
• Language skills: Fluent in English, German as a plus
• Soft skills: Team player with good communication skills, an interest in learning new topics, ability to work in a multi-national team
• Interest in getting to know the SAP technology stack and tools

The EDT Data Protection team contributes towards how SAP respects data protection and privacy rights and safeguards the personal data of individuals under SAP’s control.

We are a globally distributed team of experienced project management and technical experts who share a passion for data protection and privacy topics.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
