Your tasks

Do you believe radar signals hold the key to precisely understanding human activities? Join us and shape the future of sensing technology! You will leverage cutting-edge radar to reveal invisible patterns. This isn't just about developing algorithms, it's about laying the groundwork for smarter, more intuitive systems.

  • During your internship, you will conduct measurement campaigns, utilizing a radar sensor setup to capture detailed micro-Doppler signatures of various human activities (e.g., walking, waving), gaining hands-on experience with advanced hardware.
  • Moreover, you will be responsible for data acquisition and documentation, focusing on meticulously recording data in complex multi-target scenarios to lay the groundwork for crucial subsequent analysis.
  • By diving deep into measurement data, you will apply and develop sophisticated signal processing algorithms to precisely extract and visualize micro-Doppler features.
  • You will also critically evaluate and enhance existing state-of-the-art algorithms for feature extraction and activity classification, with a special focus on improving performance in challenging multi-target environments.
  • A core task will be to innovate by developing novel and creative approaches to significantly improve the robustness, accuracy, and real-time capabilities of our activity detection systems.
  • Finally, you will have the optional opportunity to explore AI/ML integration by investigating and potentially implementing machine learning techniques for robust activity classification, expanding your skills in this rapidly growing field.

Your profile

  • Education: studies in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Physics or a comparable technical field
  • Experience and Knowledge: advanced Python programming skills; foundational knowledge in statistical signal processing and high-frequency technology as an advantage
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a proactive team player who enjoys collaborative work and actively contributes to shared goals, possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required
  • Enthusiasm: passionate about technological innovation and driven to tackle new challenges
  • Languages: fluent in English
