About this role

We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

SAP Business Network’s North Star vision is to become a modern, many-to-many network, connecting people, enterprises, and business processes intelligently to foster collaboration and sustainable growth. As the world’s largest business-to-business collaboration platform, SAP Business Network facilitates over $5.3 trillion in commerce annually across more than 746 million transactions, capturing a unified, end-to-end view of spend. Over the next few years, we are building a collaboration application platform for trading partners that offers:

  • One common directory of robust trading partner data… from who you are and what you sell, to all the daily transactions that keep your business running.

  • A central place that adapts to you and your trading partner’s needs… find, be found, and transact seamlessly.

  • The ability to connect and collaborate on any business process. The ones you have today and how your business will evolve.

How we will drive value through the network is to:

  • Improve efficiency… help trading partners seamlessly communicate and transact.

  • Grow outcomes… help trading partners grow their business by finding new customers or suppliers.

  • Increase resiliency… counter disruption by improving supply chain transparency and mitigating risk.

When we deliver on these value drivers, we expect to grow our customer base, double the revenue we currently generate by 2026. We are in the early phases of delivering on this vision and are in the process of a re-platform, a redesign and a mindset shift focused on user experience to make it a reality.

We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our Design & UX team and make a tangible impact on product development. You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers, diving into the full product lifecycle to ensure our solutions are genuinely user-centered and impactful to business. Beyond conducting research, you’ll also help us foster a research-driven culture, ensuring deep user understanding guides every decision.

What you'll do

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to understand the needs, motivations, and workflows of a wide range of users

  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations that directly inform product strategy, design decisions, and the overall user experience

  • Create impactful deliverables to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Partner closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and other teams to understand business objectives, align on research goals, and integrate user insights throughout the entire product development lifecycle

  • Help foster a culture where every decision is informed by a deep understanding of users and their real problems, promoting the value of research across the organization

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX research methodologies, tools, and industry trends, including those related to AI, to continuously improve research practices and contribute to the growth of our research capabilities

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Computer Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related discipline). An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) is a plus.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in conducting UX research such as user interviews, contextual inquiries, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, A/B testing, diary studies, and unmoderated testing.

  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and synthesize research in a structured and rigorous way

  • A strong team player who enjoys working in international cross-functional product teams

  • Critical thinking ability to frame research questions that address key product challenges and resolve ambiguous problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in enterprise or B2B software is a significant plus

Meet your team

We're a global team of designers, researchers, and writers across Asia, the US, and Europe. We are a collaborative group of experts focused on accelerating business and customer impact. Our goals are to improve our product experiences one detail at a time, and to shape future experiences that meet user needs and inspire customers, partners, and leaders. This role will join our expanding German UX team to support supply chain experiences, including service and coordination between business partners.
