The Industry Advisor (Chief) Expert (f/m/d) provides senior strategic sales cycle support on relevant solutions for the industry, taking responsibility for demand generation, industry pipeline build strategies, and the development of scalable initiatives. This role focuses on driving increased industry pipeline, boosting revenue, and strengthening SAP’s leadership position within the industry segment.

The Industry Advisor (Chief) Expert (f/m/d) for Mill Products & Discrete Manufacturing encompasses the following elements.
Lead the Industry to Success
- Guide and lead the development of Industry business plan aligned with Sales leadership in the Market Units and Industry Business Unit
- Provide guidance to Enable/Industrialize Sales, Marketing, Inside Sales and the broader Virtual Account Teams
- Influence and “Industrialize” SAP Partners and oversee engagement
Thought Leadership
- Present at industry and customer conferences
- Lead tought leadership development, practice development project for key line of business buying centers in the Mill Products industries
- Guide the development of industry relevant account strategies working with sales teams
- Collaborate and execute with Marketing on Events, Social and Digital plans to develop leads leveraging new content, benchmarking, tools available
- Nurture senior customer executive relationship to develop customer reference stories to showcase value metrics relevant to the Industry
- Establish industry communities for the purpose of enablement, best practice sharing, and creation of an effective network
Customer Excellence
- Oversee and lead early stage customer executive meetings
- Supervise industry relevant customer engagements to nurture opportunities
- Work as part of one Virtual Account Team to jointly develop and refine customer deliverables to incorporate industry relevance NAD SAP differentiated value proposition
- Lead tought leadership development, practice development project for key line of business buying centers in the Mill Products and Discreet Manufacturing industries
- Guide the development of industry relevant accounts
What you bring
- Extensive Industry Expertise: Several years of professional experience spanning Sales, Consulting, and Industry Solutions within the Mill Products industry, with experience in software-related roles. Additional experience in the Discrete Manufacturing industry is a strong differentiator.
- Technology Acumen: Familiar with navigating technology landscapes and contributing to the integration of processes and systems. Able to collaborate effectively with IT teams to align technology solutions with business priorities and support organizational goals.
- Solutions Specialist: Rounded understanding and prior experience with SAP products and industry solutions. Recognized as a trusted industry expert capable of leveraging a wide network to stimulate pipeline acceleration and foster revenue growth.
- Strategic Leadership with Executives: Skilled in conducting executive interviews, facilitating workshops, and aligning diverse stakeholder expectations through collaborative, outcome-driven processes.
- Robust Customer Relationship Management: Proven ability to build, nurture, and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, driving enhanced business partnerships and delivering long-term value.
- Value Selling Expertise: Significant experience in creating data-driven business cases, conducting strategic analyses, and applying value-selling methodologies to identify opportunities and analyze value chains and ecosystems.
- Global Communication and Multilingual Advantage: Fluent in English, with additional fluency in one or more local languages of the MEE markets considered a distinct asset for supporting global customer engagements.
- Educational Credentials: Holds a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree from an accredited institution preferred, demonstrating a combination of academic excellence and professional expertise.

The Industry Advisory Expert (f/m/d) focuses on adopting standardized approaches for value-based sales activities in the Mill Products industries and Discreet Manufacturing industries. This role supports the development of pipeline build strategies and scale initiatives resulting in increased industry pipeline, revenue, and elevation of SAP’s leadership position in partnership with sales and the Virtual Account Team.
