About this role
A global Japanese technology company is seeking an IT Business Development & Sales Manager to drive market expansion and revenue growth across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at an early growth stage and play a key role in shaping its European sales strategy and commercial presence.
Main Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Drive new customer acquisition across Europe (UK, DACH, France, Italy, Spain)
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through outbound activities
- Identify opportunities in developer tools, SaaS, and AI markets
Strategy & Market Expansion
- Support and execute go-to-market strategies across Europe
- Identify new market entry opportunities and growth areas
- Contribute to regional business planning and execution
Alliances & Partnerships
- Develop reseller, distributor, and strategic partner networks
- Manage partnerships and drive co-selling initiatives
- Expand indirect sales channels across the region
Regional Business Operations
- Collaborate with global sales, product, engineering, and support teams
- Monitor KPIs, pipeline, and revenue performance
- Support continuous improvement and commercial growth initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the IT industry (SaaS, developer tools, AI, or software preferred)
- Proven success in new business development /sales roles
- Experience selling within European markets (UK, France, DACH preferred)
- Ability to engage technical stakeholders such as developers and engineers
- Experience in partnerships, channel sales, or alliances is advantageous
- Fluent English required (additional European languages highly beneficial)
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a high-autonomy, scale-up environment
- Willingness to travel frequently across Europe
Desirable:
- Experience in market expansion or business strategy roles
- Knowledge of APIs, enterprise software, or developer platforms
- Experience in international or multicultural organisations
- Exposure to AI SaaS or emerging technology sectors
