Our client is one of the largest global players in the steel trading industry, with over 100 offices worldwide. Headquartered in Düsseldorf for its European operations, the company is renowned for its robust supply chain network and long-standing expertise in steel-related trading.

To support continued growth, we are seeking a Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager (Position will be depending on the experience) to join the team in Düsseldorf. This role offers a dynamic environment with international exposure and the opportunity to contribute to strategic sales operations.

Job Responsibilities

⦁ Manage and respond to inquiries from existing customers

⦁ Oversee order tracking and coordination across the supply chain

⦁ Monitor payment processes and manage dunning procedures

⦁ Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure quality assurance

⦁ Support sales initiatives and contribute to business development

⦁ Occasional domestic and international travel (approx. 30%)

Job Requirements

⦁ Completed vocational training in wholesale/foreign trade or similar

⦁ Experience in steel industry or sales within automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 or manufacturing suppliers industries

⦁ Strong organizational and time management skills

⦁ Native-level German and business-fluent English

⦁ Valid Class B driver’s license

⦁ Willingness to travel regularly

⦁ Commutation to Düsseldorf Office is a must (Apart from Home Office and business trip days)

Benefits and Welfare

⦁ Annual Salary: Up to €110,000 OTE (depending on experience and qualifications)

⦁ Paid Leave: 30 days per year

⦁ Hybrid Work: 2 days/week home office after probation

⦁ Working Hours: 38.5 hours/week (core hours: 9:30–16:30)
