Category Manager Private Label - Home & Living and Accessories (all genders)

Role: Zalando is Europe’s leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle. The Private Label Team creates on‑trend, profitable product selections for shoes, clothing, accessories and home & living. As a Buyer in Private Label you support product development and collection planning, ensuring high‑quality, timely processes so collections are available for purchase. You work closely with suppliers, negotiating purchase and delivery terms. Responsibilities: - Independently steer your business area, driving commercial impact and executing the buying strategy. - Define seasonal brand strategy, budget and assortment planning together with merchandising. - Negotiate prices and delivery terms with international suppliers and expand relationships. - Supervise the critical path from development to order placement and final delivery. - Act as a functional leader and coach for junior team members. - Address complex operational, strategic and financial challenges with data‑supported solutions. - Communicate company strategy and collaborate cross‑functionally to drive sales and profit. - Manage in‑season planning with the planning team to ensure product availability. - Cooperate with the design team to align collections with customer demand. - Build successful relationships across departments. - Travel for supplier visits, trade shows and sourcing trips. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Fashion Management or a related field. - Minimum 3 years experience in Buying or Merchandising at manager level, preferably in home and living. - Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, proactive collaboration and efficient workload organization. - Strategic mindset with ability to connect plans to timely delivery. - Proficiency in MS Office, Google tools, PLM and strong analytical and fashion trend knowledge.
