Our client has long been active in the field of forwarding (cargo transportation), with multiple locations throughout Germany. They provide high-quality logistics services as part of an international network, closely collaborating with their headquarters in Japan. They are looking for a Distribution Manager (Head of Distribution Department) (m/f/d) to expand the team in Düsseldorf.

Job Responsibilities

• Management of the distribution team
• Daily shipment operations management and response
• Handling customer claims (quality, delivery deadlines, incorrect shipments, etc.)
• Coordination and improvement proposals with the warehouse (WH)
• Planning and implementation of quality improvement activities (KPI analysis, improvement planning and execution)
• Staff training and education to improve quality
• Preparation and compliance monitoring of operational manuals (SOPs)
• Coordination with other departments, branches, and overseas offices
• Operation and audit response based on quality management systems such as ISO 9001
• Other related duties as instructed by superiors

Job Requirements

• Business-level fluency in German and English
• Over 10 years of practical experience in the logistics industry
• Proven management experience (as team leader or manager)
• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Understanding and experience with QCM (Quality Control Management) systems such as ISO 9001
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Reliability in following SOPs
