Police in Cologne suspect a teenage boy intentionally used a remotely controlled robot to sexually harass a teenage girl on the evening of October 11.
Iron Man-like robot used to sexually harass girl
Police are investigating a case in Cologne in which a teenage boy is suspected of using a remotely controlled robot to sexually harass a teenage girl.
According to the police report, the 16-year-old boy used the 1,20-metre-tall robot modelled on Iron Man to touch the 16-year-old girl’s bum and thrust against her.
The boy and his 19-year-old friend are said to have live-streamed the assault on social media and did a live commentary of the stream.
Police found robot in teen’s car boot
Shortly after, emergency services, informed of the incident, found the teenage boy nearby and discovered the robot in the boot of his VW.
Police have seized the robot and two mobile phones and are now investigating the teenager on suspicion of sexual harassment.
They are also investigating how the robot was functioning at the time of the assault and whether it was being remotely controlled.
