The Frankfurt Art Experience
To celebrate the start of the new gallery season in the city of Frankfurt, leading galleries come together for a three-day, full-on art experience! Known as the Frankfurt Art Experience, numerous galleries, studios and art institutions are set to open new exhibitions for the 27th edition of this early autumn event.
Opening the new art season
The Frankfurt Art Experience, created to honour the creativity and cultural significance of the Frankfurt art scene, establishes a new experience that brings together art, urban perceptions and visitors from near and far. Encompassing a versatile programme of exhibition openings, art walks, talks and even a fair, art lovers and collectors are attracted to the event year after year.
The Frankfurt Art Experience typically sees over 50 art galleries, studios and institutions across the city open their doors to the public, inviting them to come and see new exhibitions. Aiming to cover the entire spectrum of contemporary art, the event is organised by the Interessengemeinschaft der Galerien Frankfurt.
Art Experience Walks
The Art Experience Walks are art tours through the different art districts and galleries in Frankfurt. Experienced art mediators let you discover the Frankfurt art scene with special insights into private collections, galleries and artist studios. Alternative collection and exhibition locations such as hotels and restaurants are also visited and presented.
Frankfurt Art Experience invites you to see the city of Frankfurt with new eyes and to make you curious about further discoveries.
Art Experience Talks
The Art Experience Talks make up an important part of The Frankfurt Art Experience. In five talks, renowned experts from the art world reflect on and discuss impulses, positions and current market trends as well as structural developments on the art market. The concluding talk is devoted to looking at the strong presence of photography in Frankfurt, which has a unique selling point in this city.
