Act Attack is an English-speaking acting & improv group based in Amsterdam, now also in Berlin.
Act Attack’s goal is to encourage people to express themselves and interact with each other while having fun. As life imitates art, creative work can inspire and initiate a lot of real-life events. Act Attack’s courses are suitable for people of all skill levels, whether you have acting experience or you’re a complete beginner. Their acting, improv and physical theatre courses (with a duration of eight weeks) include stage acting exercises and improvisation games, blended together in preparation for the end-of-term graduation performances. They also offer courses that don't include a performance, as well as tailor-made business workshops for team-building purposes.

These courses for beginners combine theatre acting and the basics of improvisation. With theatre games, acting and improv techniques, ensemble collaboration and scene study, you will develop the way you express yourself physically in many different situations and roles. Moreover, you will boost your confidence, communication and public speaking skills. With the help of Act Attack, you can be an acting hero!
In these courses for beginners, you will learn the basic techniques of improv, including the core components of listening, agreement and ”Yes, And”. You will develop an accepting, error-free attitude and learn to react to unforeseen situations in a spontaneous and flexible manner. In these courses for beginners, you will have the chance to discover the magic of musical theatre and develop your voice and speaking skills in a creative way, as well as improve your body awareness and confidence.
All acting courses start in January, May and September. Each course lasts six to eight weeks and takes place once a week, during evening hours, depending on the course of your choice. Although each course lasts for two months, Act Attack highly encourages participating for a longer period of time, in order to give yourself enough time to grow and learn together with your fellow co-actors.
