A new ranking from the career social media platform LinkedIn has listed the “best companies to work for in Germany in 2025”. Similarly to 2024, the ranking is dominated by pharmaceutical and technology companies.

LinkedIn Top Companies 2025

Along with its list of the most in-demand jobs in Germany, every year LinkedIn produces a ranking of the best companies to work for in the federal republic. To do this, the platform gathers data from its users to rate companies through eight crucial factors, which the site claims are imperative for a successful career:

  • Development opportunities: How frequently promotions are offered.
  • Skills growth: Whether employees acquire new skills or certifications during their employment.
  • Company stability: How many people lost their jobs in the last year, and how many workers remained at the company for over three years.
  • External job prospects: How likely employees are to be offered jobs elsewhere.
  • Company affinity: How well-connected staff are with their colleagues.
  • Gender diversity
  • Educational attainment: How well educated the workforce is.
  • Employer relevance: The size of the company compared to others in Germany.

Only companies with at least 500 people employed in Germany were considered for the ranking. Firms with an annual turnover of over 10 percent of their workforce were also excluded.

Pharmaceuticals and technology companies dominate LinkedIn ranking

As in LinkedIn’s 2024 ranking, pharmaceutical and technology companies dominated the top 10 spots. Having taken third place in 2024, Siemens moved up to first. According to LinkedIn, Siemens’ employees registered on the website largely work as project managers, software engineers and product managers.

The US medical equipment manufacturer Stryker, which has bases in Freiburg and Kiel, was named the “second-best employer in Germany in 2025”. Stryker’s engineers work designing and selling medical implants and neurological technology, among other medical products.

With bases in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich, ServiceNow was named the “third-best employer”. The software development company, which originated in the US, operates an AI-aided platform helping companies “automate and optimise” their business processes.

LinkedIn's best employers in Germany for 2025

In all, here are the best companies to work for in Germany in 2025, according to LinkedIn:

  1. Siemens (Automation Machinery Manufacturing)
