Supply Chain Specialist I- Inventory

Experienced supply chain professional responsible for planning and developing the production plans as well as schedule operations for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive assemblies. Monitor customer requirements and respond to customer demands by providing system assistance to assure timeliness and accuracy to meet inventory targets and 100% Customer Delivery Performance Ratings.

Position Responsibilities:

Monitor all incoming EDI transactions for accuracy such as 824, 830, 861, 862, 997, etc.

Monitor and correct failed EDI/goods movements to ensure accurate customer demand

incoming EDI data into SAP for finished goods parts for planning purposes. (SAP EMFOR Module)

Maintain and set up in SAP, customer shipping schedule agreements, proper pricing, timing for production and spot-buy PO's, including service parts.

Develop / publish daily shipment and production schedules to meet all customer demands both internal and external, (production/service)

Report corrective actions and maintain accurate AP workplace for incoming Material Master Set Up parts. Effectively set up Material Masters and corresponding BOMSs for new and current parts. Responsible for integrity and accuracy of production and prototype BOMs and shipments

Participate and coordinate engineering change activities to avoid or minimize risk of obsolescence.

Participate in activities related to launch of new suppliers, customers, programs or products

Monitor scrap process in SAP to ensure it's being utilized in its proper format and train teardown operators for efficiency and accuracy

Compile and maintain manual or computerized records used in managing material and container inventory, in-process production, status and location of material

Participate in or lead supply chain management process improvement projects such as inventory reductions or level scheduling activities

Extensive use of MRP systems to ensure material availability to support production plans to meet customer demand while maintaining inventory targets..

Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of department goals, targets, KPIs, cost savings, continuous improvements, etc.

Comply with all TS-16949, ISO-14001, NAFTA, customs, policies, procedures, standards and Group Directives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related field plus 0-3 years of related experience

Basic English language competency required

TS-16949 and ISO-14001 awareness

Ability to read, analyze, interpret and manipulate large amounts of data

In-depth kledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning

Skills PC-based software required (Microsoft Excel and/or Access)

Detail-oriented with strong communication skills to effectively conduct meetings and work with others to attain data and implement a production plan

Self-starter with strong problem solving abilities and is able to assist in problem resolution and decision making

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and multiple tasks

Preferred Skills and experience:

Kledge of SAP, MRP systems

Experience with customer specific applications, portals, such as ESupplier connect, GM Supply Power

Experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supply environment, inventory management and customer service
