Senior Graphic Designer (all genders) - Lounge by Zalando

Role: The Lounge by Zalando outlet operates differently, redefining off-price retail and subverting expectations for what a shopping app can be. To do that, we need a Senior Designer who can elevate a routine promo into a cultural moment – someone who truly understands the grid before breaking it. Working side by side with Creative Direction, Art Direction, and Copy, you will build bold typographic systems, motion assets, and social designs that make people stop scrolling. The goal is to make them think, "Wait, an outlet did that?" About Lounge by Zalando: Lounge by Zalando is an online outlet for fashion and lifestyle products in 25 European countries. Responsibilities: - Manage creative projects end-to-end, taking full ownership of project timelines and leading design initiatives from initial concept to final delivery. - Establish, build, and meticulously manage robust Design Systems to ensure design scalability and consistency across all brand touchpoints. - Apply expert understanding of typography to elevate brand's visual storytelling, campaign assets, and daily digital communications. - Conceptualize and execute high-impact static and motion design assets for various marketing channels, ensuring an innovative and dynamic digital presence. - Develop dedicated, visually captivating social media designs (both organic and paid) that increase customer engagement and brand awareness. - Translate complex design systems and project structures into simple, high-impact, persuasive presentations tailored for internal and external stakeholders. - Stay ahead of global design and cultural trends, ensuring the Lounge’s aesthetic remains contemporary, progressive, and highly relevant. Qualifications: - Hold a relevant university degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts, or a related field – or possess equivalent practical qualifications. - Have 7+ years of professional experience in the creative and design field, with a portfolio showcasing expertise in Typography, Design Systems, and cross-channel marketing. - Strong track record in managing creative projects, demonstrating ability to guide complex, multifaceted design initiatives independently, excel at stakeholder communication, and explain complex design decisions. - Deep understanding of cultural trends and a sharp eye for what resonates within the fashion and lifestyle industries. - Proven experience in Motion Design and Social Map Design, demonstrating how moving imagery improves digital brand performance. - Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and UI/UX design tools (such as Figma) tailored for design systems. - Leverage GenAI tools strategically within your creative and production workflows.
