About this role

As a Data Scientist Intern at Mercedes-Benz Operations, within the Production System and Network Management department, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our global production network and the MO360 ecosystem.

By applying your software development skills, analytical mindset, and a keen interest in operational processes, you will contribute to building and implementing data-driven solutions and digital routines that optimize production, enhance efficiency, and support strategic decisions across our worldwide production sites.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advanced data analytics and data science techniques to address operational challenges and create data solutions for our global production network.
Drive the successful scaling of digital solutions by overseeing project management support, promoting standardization, and harmonizing the cross-site design and implementation of digital routines across our production sites
Foster collaboration with global teams to enhance transparency and knowledge regarding the production digital portfolio
Effectively communicate complex data-driven insights and project updates through engaging presentations in German and English

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering with an equivalent practical experience
Experience with data querying languages and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, C, C++)
Foundational understanding of data science methodologies, including data preparation, exploratory data analysis, model building, and visualization
Fluent English and Intermediate German skills
Familiarity with Databricks, Github and Azure Infrastructure
Expertise in DevOps, DataOps and/or MLOps
Experience in collaboration with cross functional teams
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, supply chain concepts, or industrial engineering

Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
