About this role

We help the world run better At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

The Quality Assurance Process and Communication Support Intern (f/m/d) will support the migration and optimization of the manual testing landscape within the Quality Assurance Service. The primary focus of this role is the transition from the existing testing tool (Q-Test) to Azure DevOps Test Plans, ensuring a smooth migration of requirements, test cases, and QA processes. The intern (f/m/d) will play a key role in reviewing, validating, and restructuring existing test artifacts to ensure they are up-to-date, clearly understandable, and aligned with current stakeholder needs. This includes close collaboration with Test Engineers and stakeholders to improve transparency, communication, and usability of QA documentation. A strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes and Requirements Engineering, as well as the ability to read and interpret user stories, is essential.

Technical Tasks

  • Support the migration of test cases and requirements from qTest to Azure DevOps Test Plans
  • Assist in validating and restructuring existing test artifacts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability
  • Contribute to the setup and structuring of Azure DevOps Test Plans, including organizing and maintaining test cases

Process Expectations

  • Apply a solid understanding of Quality Assurance processes and Requirements Engineering, as these are essential for reviewing and improving test artifacts
  • Review, interpret, and refine existing requirements and test cases to ensure they are clearly written, up-to-date, and understandable for all stakeholders—not only QA experts
  • Actively communicate with stakeholders and requesters to validate requirements, gather updates, and identify potential improvements or changes
  • Collaborate closely with Test Engineers to ensure that requirements and test cases are aligned, consistent, and easy to understand
  • Ensure that QA artifacts (e.g., test cases) are standardized, transparent, and reproducible by a broad audience

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Quality Assurance processes and software testing methodologies
  • Familiar with Azure DevOps, especially Test Plans, is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Requirements Engineering and the ability to read, understand, and refine user stories and test cases
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a structured way of working
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication skills. Excellent English written and oral communication skills

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • First practical experience (internships, academic projects, or coursework) in Quality Assurance, software testing, or Requirements Engineering preferred
  • Experience in working in a large organization with globally distributed personnel, functions and operations is a plus
  • Software industry experience strongly preferred
