COMPANY DESCRIPTION: SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE: We are looking for an SAP S/4HANA Engineer (Basis) Specialists who will manage the daily cloud operations of our Sovereign Cloud offering. You will work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications. You have strong technical knowledge of SAP systems and databases. Additional responsibilities include managing periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
The role includes the following tasks:
- Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize SAP S/4HANA systems for SAP Sovereign Cloud in Germany.
- Setup of a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
- Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
- Continuous improvement of implementation documentation
- Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the cloud operation processes
What you will bring:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of SAP experience with focus on SAP S/4HANA
- Experience in implementation, upgrade and support of SAP S/4HANA systems
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field
- Involved in planning and testing of the DR
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Implementation, upgrade and support of the latest SAP systems versions, running on Windows/Linux OS and HANA, etc.
- A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and flexibility to work in shifts is required, ensuring consistent coverage and support. The role includes an attractive remuneration package for shift work and on-call duties
- Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration
Optional:
- Good knowledge of AWS/Azure and GCP
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process. This role requires on-site work in one of the designated locations: Berlin, Walldorf, or St. Leon Rot.
