What you'll build
Together with the team, you will work on software development tasks to enhance and maintain one of SAP’s largest cloud native products: ‘SAP Business Data Cloud’. You will develop code for the feature ‘Live and Data Connectivity Service’. You will be responsible for frontend and backend code and test pipelines. By working on various tasks, you will help the team to enhance the application and make it more robust and stable.
Some example tasks are:
- Create automated test pipelines
- Write Integration tests or UI tests
- Create UI coding in JavaScript and SAPUI5
- Maintain backend code in Java or JavaScript
- Work with SQL and databases
What you bring
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences.
- Ongoing Bachelor or Master studies (min. 1 year left of your studies)
- Experience in software development with JavaScript, Type Script, or Java
- Knowledge about Nodejs or frontend development like React, Angular would very beneficial
- Database knowledge is a big plus
- Language skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, German as a plus
- Candidates should provide a GitHub link showcasing their coding abilities, preferably with projects beyond standard university assignments

LCS (Live Connect Service) is a core connectivity component within BDC (Business Data Cloud) that enables secure, real-time data access between SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and various backend systems such as SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Datasphere.
