What you'll build
As a working student (f/m/d), you'll learn and contribute to cloud infrastructure projects. Your main focus will be:
- Learn and support the development of Terraform modules for automated provisioning of cloud resources (like networks, storage buckets, and access configurations) across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Contribute to our automation initiatives that accelerate Kubernetes cluster build-out at scale
- Extend and maintain Python and Go (cli-) tools
- Help explore and implement meaningful solutions leveraging AI to further automate our infrastructure processes
You'll be mentored by experienced developers who will help you understand the concepts and grow your skills.
What you bring

- Currently enrolled at a university or university or university or university student in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Basic programming knowledge - preferably Python or Go
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks like Terraform
- Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AI coding assistants or agentic AI
- Curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and a collaborative mindset
- Good English language skills
Where you belong
Our team is part of the Database Cloud Infrastructure (DBCI) unit within SAP HANA Cloud. We're the team responsible for data center build-out - which means setting up highly utilized Kubernetes clusters across multiple regions and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) so that SAP HANA Cloud can run reliably worldwide.
