About this role
Role:
As a Senior Principal Product Manager in Client Foundations, you will drive the development of the technology platform that powers Zalando’s customer experience. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design partners to build core capabilities and shared tools that enable coherent, inspiring user journeys, providing state‑of‑the‑art UI frameworks and visual modules.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and deployment of technical products at scale, building platform‑capability products for internal and external partners.
- Define and execute product strategy for client platform products, preferably in an e‑commerce or marketplace environment.
- Translate customer needs and insights into remarkable products, distinguishing between expressed wants and actual needs.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Design, Engineering, and Data Science teams, acting as a force multiplier for teams building on the platform.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience planning and deploying technical products at scale, with platform‑capability products serving internal and external partners.
- Strong track record of envisioning and building successful platform products, ideally in e‑commerce or marketplace settings.
- Experience building internal UI tools for developers, designers, product analysts, and product managers (a plus).
- Customer‑obsessed mindset, turning insights into remarkable products and discerning true user needs.
- Technical fluency in delivering high‑quality, cross‑platform client‑facing applications (Web and Mobile).
- Proven ability to thrive in cross‑functional environments, collaborating with Design, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams.
