Working Student (f/m/d) - AI in Global Communications
About this role
We help the world run better.
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you'll build
- Coordinate GC data management for our internal knowledge bot: inventory, metadata hygiene, access, and versioning of core messaging documents and priority content sources
- Drive lightweight project management for cross-functional meetings: agendas, notes, decision logs, risk/issue tracking, and clear next steps
- Produce executive-ready summaries (meeting notes, experiment readouts, enablement recaps) with clarity and structure
- Act as the liaison between Global Communications and IT/development teams: gather and document requirements, prioritise and route feedback, review and validate new features, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for the knowledge bot and its data integrations
- Plan and run AI enablement: organise learning sessions with topic experts, create starter guides/prompts, collect best practices, and measure adoption across GC
- Contribute to prompt libraries and evaluation frameworks to improve answer quality, reliability, and safety of AI outputs
- Track impact metrics (usage, satisfaction, time saved) and turn insights into recommendations for scale up
What you bring
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
- Current bachelor’s or master’s enrolment in Communications, Business/Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Linguistics, or related field
- Interest in AI and communication technologies with willingness to co-develop processes, such as proof-of-concept testing
- Hands-on experience using AI tools and strong prompting fundamentals
- Experience in Communications such as drafting, research, summarisation, stakeholder updates
- Proven project management skills: planning, facilitation, stakeholder follow-ups, and on-time delivery with a strong ability to work interdisciplinary between IT and communications
- Data literacy: experience with (AI-supported) data analysis, familiarity with metadata and document management; comfort working with SharePoint/Office 365 knowledge sources
- Fluent English (written and spoken); concise, audience-appropriate writing style
- Nice-to-have: exposure to enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot), experience with enablement (training, office hours, guides) and change-management communications
- Basic analytics skills (dashboards, adoption/usage tracking)
- German or another language at a conversational level
Where you belong
In Global Communications, we drive meaningful conversations, shape SAP’s reputation to match the company’s scale and importance, and turn complexity into clear, engaging stories and actions that build trust with our audiences and contribute to advancing the company’s goals. You’ll join the “AI in Global Communications” initiative: an agile, cross‑functional and regional working group partnering with IT/AI colleagues to build and scale practical AI capabilities for all communication functions. We value experimentation with accountability, security‑first tool use, and measurable impact. The team is piloting a GC AI knowledge bot connected to curated comms assets and runs hands‑on enablement across Global Communications.
- Global, hybrid team across time zones; English is our primary language
- Close collaboration with various Communication roles, IT/AI platform owners, and topic experts
- Fast feedback cycles, clear owners, crisp deliverables, and iteration over perfection
- Security and data stewardship baked into every workflow (internal tools preferred)
- A learning culture: regular tech skill‑building sessions led by Global Communications peers and partners
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
