OVERVIEW The world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of high-end craftsmanship and premium quality handicraft products and services. With EU-based and over 100 years of continuous operation across the continents. We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who can be on the ground to set up the operations of the distribution centre and workshop site in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations management
  • Background from the woodworking industry, handicraft, metal processing, precision, or cutting tools will be ideal
  • Native German and Business English communication skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will help the company find a suitable building/site as well as setting up the production processes and warehouse operations
  • Oversee daily operations, design processes, and optimise workflows to maximise productivity, capacity, efficiency, and profits across all business functions
  • Assign tasks and carry out operations within the workshop and warehouse
  • Improve operation processes to increase smooth processes, productivity, and efficiency, to meet business objectives and maintain operational excellence.
  • Establish performance metrics to monitor KPIs
  • Formulate and implement company policies and ensure compliance
  • Prepare and manage budgets
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and best practices
  • Build teams, including involvement in human resources processes such as recruitment, manpower planning, training, performance evaluation, retention and engagement, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven expertise in operation setup and implementation, process optimisation, productivity improvement, continuous improvement, or cost reduction
  • Experience in establishing business operations from scratch would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated motivation, passion, and commitment to operational excellence
  • Team building experience
  • Eligible to work in Germany
