We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning Manager to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kiel facility.
What You Will Do:

Develop, implement and support processes and practices for ensuring a plan for every part.

Ensure appropriate and timely stock levels of materials, components and equipment needed to manufacture and deliver products to support the manufacturing facility.

Coordinate with sales, manufacturing and suppliers on short and long-term production forecasts and expected deliverables.

Manage relationships with internal customers, coordinating and integrating planning processes.

Develop and continuously improve the accuracy of logistical needs, including warehouse capacity, equipment needs and resource needs.

Set up, maintain, and monitor logistical processes and dependencies.
What You Have (Key Skills/Experience Required):
-
Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of supply chain functions, principles, and techniques, with the ability to develop and apply strategies, practices, and tools to control and optimize logistics processes.

Inventory Management: Solid grasp of inventory management processes and methodologies, with the capability to effectively control local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work‑in‑progress, and finished goods.

Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to assess current product quality and production methods while maintaining a strong focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Strong appreciation of accuracy and precision, with the ability to complete tasks consistently to a high level of detail.

Data Gathering & Analysis: Proficiency in using data collection and analysis tools, techniques, and processes to objectively gather, synthesize, and evaluate information from multiple stakeholders and sources.

Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Understanding of the considerations, challenges, and processes involved in systematically managing inventory distribution across multiple plants or warehouses, with the ability to apply this experience in practice.

Effective Communication:Strong command of communication principles, tools, and techniques, with the ability to clearly transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and requirements.

Problem Solving: Experience applying structured approaches, tools, and techniques to identify, anticipate, and resolve organizational, operational, or process‑related challenges across diverse situations.

Degree or equivalent experience desired.

Very good German (at least C1) and very good English skills (at least B2).

Additional Information:
We are back! This role requires being in the office five days a week.
