A pizzeria employee in the Berlin neighbourhood of Altglienicke has allegedly been caught stealing around 2.200 euros from his employer each month.

By adding a discount to customers' food on the till but charging full price and pocketing the difference, the man is said to have stolen 39.000 euros between December 2021 and May 2023.

Authorities suspect that over the 17 months, the employee pocketed money from around 1.225 customer transactions.
