Organisers of the 48th Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Berlin have announced that the city’s official Pride events will run over two days in 2026.
Berlin CSD will be two days long
The head of Berlin’s CSD Association, which is responsible for organising the capital’s annual Pride event, has announced that demonstrations and celebrations will this year run over two days, rather than one.
The programme will run on July 24 and 25. New additions for this year include a “Drag March” and “democracy evening” at Brandenburger Tor on the evening of July 24.
However, the main event remains the demonstration-cum-parade on July 25. This year, the parade will run from Leipziger Strasse, past Potsdamer Platz, Nollendorfplatz, and the Siegessäule, before finishing at Brandenburger Tor.
"Haltung ist hot"
Like every year, organisers have attached a slogan to Berlin’s CSD event. This year, “Haltung ist hot” (“Taking a stand is hot”).
Additional slogans include “Deine Stimme steht dir zu” (“Your voice suits you”) and “Maus, unpolitisch war gestern” (“Darling, being apolitical is so yesterday”).
Organisers are also encouraging Pride marchers to vote in Berlin’s state election in September, and pushing local government to bid to host WorldPride 2032.
