From September 13, the S-Bahn connection from central Berlin to BER Airport will be ceased while construction work is done until mid-November.

Berlin airport S-Bahn link closed until November

Between 10pm on September 13 and mid-November, Berlin’s S9 and S45 S-Bahn trains which connect the city centre to BER Airport, will cease service for maintenance work.

While bridges, tracks and an electronic signal box are repaired in Schöneweide, the S46, S8 and S85 trains running into the southeast of the city will also be affected.

FEX and Regionalbahn will still run to BER

In the meantime, the faster, express connections from central Berlin to the airport will still run.

The airport express FEX train and regional trains RE8 and RB23 will continue services between Berlin’s Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof stations to BER airport.
