Classical Indian dances have a rich history, tradition and heritage - one so elaborate that it would take more than a lifetime to adequately explore and absorb - but they still offer room for unending creativity and innovation. In this way, dance can be used to explore topics relevant to all kinds of different worlds and times, making it a truly expansive art form.
Join the Nityaa Arts Centre for an evening dedicated to four of the eight classical Indian dance forms. Watch incredible performances, relax and connect with Munich’s Indian diaspora, and feast on some authentic Indian food. Put on in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Munich, the dance show represents part of the celebrations of 75 years of Indian Independence.
Performances from dancers from all over Germany
The evening will include performances from some extremely talented dancers from all over Germany, who will present different pieces from the repertoire of Odissi, Kathak, Mohiniattam and Bharatanatyam forms.
The renowned Bharatanatyam artiste of international fame, Dr Vasundhara Doraswamy, will also be appearing at the festival, presenting a solo thematic dance drama.
